Question: Distance to Vehicle is not being shown in search results why ?
Answer: For Distance to Vehicle to be displayed when you do your search please make sure you enter your postcode. Also make sure the postcode is valid.

Question: How do I edit or modify my adverts ?
Answer: Please login and go to the members area. There click on manage adverts and you will get a list of adverts you have placed. Click edit infront of the advert you want to edit. If you are logged in and directly want to go to the members area copy and paste the link below in the address bar of your browser.

Question: How to change image format ?
Answer: If you are having problems uploading an image file. Make sure it is in the right format. Only Image files with jpg, jpeg, gif and png are allow. If your image file is in a different format than convert it to a jpg file. Copy and paste the below link in your address bar for a free image format converter.

Question: How to use automobiletrader.co.uk
Answer: Please register on the site with an validate email and login. All facilities on the site are free.

Question: I am having trouble uploading photos ?
Answer: The max file size upload limit is 4 MB. If your picture fails to upload than try a smaller size picture i.e less than 4 mb.
Only files with extensions JPG, GIF or PNG are permitted.
Make sure your photo has any one of those extensions. For example mycar.jpg or mycar.gif or mycar.png. If your file extension is not shown than copy and paste the link below in the address area of your browser. Depending on your internet connection speed large files might take longer to upload.

Question: I have forgotten my password.
Answer: Click on Forgot your username or password? a new password will be emailed to you.

Question: I have not yet recieved activation code.
Answer: The activation email is sent to verify your email address. It usually takes less than five minutes to reach your inbox after you sign up.
If you have not recieved the activation code than
1] check your junk / bulk mail folder.
2] you might have mistyped your email address. Register again.

Question: Read all the answers on image upload problems still cannot upload the image.
Answer: The easiest way to make sure the image gets uploaded and you post your advert is to make sure the image file is less than 500kb. The smaller the size the better.

Question: Registration problem, I keep getting invalid postcode error how can I register ?
Answer: If entering the full 6 or 7 character postcode results in a INVALID POSTCODE error. Than try entering just the first 3 characters of your postcode.
If that does not work than try entering the first 4 characters of your postcode. This should solve the problem.
You can also try the first three characters of a postcode nearby to you.
If all fails enter B15 which is a birmingham postcode and email us so we can sort it out for you.

Question: What does user online now mean.
Answer: Means exactly what it says that the user is online at the moment. Send them an email and you might have your deal sorted in the next few minutes
